CO2 emissions must be reduced drastically in order to meet the targets of the Paris Climate Agreement. The consumption of fossil fuels (oil, gas, coal) is the main cause of greenhouse gas emissions. If greenhouse gas emissions continue unabated, the earth will become warmer and warmer with serious consequences for people, nature and the environment.
Consequently, the world must transition from the current fossil fuel-based energy system to one that is “climate neutral” or “carbonneutral”. The global energy transition will largely rely on the ability to integrate hydrogen into our global energy system. Therefore, at a later stage, there will be great demand for experienced specialists with extensive knowledge of hydrogen. In anticipation of this need, we have developed a training programme in association with Brunel to prepare specialists for a more sustainable future – the first of its kind.
